For years now, there have been talks about a “True Lies” sequel coming eventually. The James Cameron-directed film is a classic ‘90s action film that has incredible spectacle, a charming cast (perhaps even Arnold Schwarzenegger’s best performance from that era), and a solid story. And over the years, people have been clamoring for some sort of continuation. Well, a sequel doesn’t look like it’s going to happen, but the long-in-development TV remake seems to be moving along.

That being said, it appears that the folks that work on the CBS legal drama series aren’t letting the current COVID-19 pandemic completely stall production on the series and have developed an interesting idea for a “social-distancing” episode of “All Rise.”

According to Deadline, Golden Globe-nominated and Emmy-winning actor Brendan Gleeson has signed on to star as Trump in the upcoming CBS miniseries “A Higher Loyalty,” based on the recent book “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership.” Gleeson will star opposite Jeff Daniels, who is set to play James Comey.

In hindsight, the best thing to ever happen to ‘Star Trek‘ was its unaired pilot. ‘The Cage,’ which introduced us to Christopher Pike, set a precedent for the ‘Star Trek’ universe that has never been broken. Characters can (and do) cross over between series and timelines, but always as a way of showing the evolving history of the Federation and its citizens.
