I suppose considering the box office success (grossing more than $870 million worldwide through the first seven films combined) of the “Saw” series, it shouldn’t be too surprising that Hollywood would want to glean as much of a profit from it as possible. It’s this reasoning that brings us to the existence of “Jigsaw,” which will focus on the fictional character John Kramer, the alias for the “Jigsaw Killer,” the primary villain in the saga.

The 2011 Canadian hockey comedy “Goon” did pretty well up north, which isn’t a surprise given that, for more than half the year, hockey is king. What is surprising is that south of the border, the slight, and frankly not very good movie earned a cult following. Granted, it’s a very small cult, but, nonetheless, it’s enough that the sequel, “Goon: Last Of The Enforcers,” is making its way to cinemas stateside after playing in Canada.
