Now, in his latest film, “Broker,” Kore-eda returns to Asia, but not quite Japan. Instead, his new drama takes place in South Korea, and revolves around the peculiar phenomenon of baby boxes and the adoption black market.

Full stop. So, the second we learn new information about a new project from the director, you better believe we’re going to get excited. And judging by the information about his upcoming film, tentatively titled “Broker,” we have every reason to expect another great feature from Kore-eda.

According to news from Pierce Conran on Twitter, Kore-eda is lining up his next film, “Broker,” which will find the Japanese filmmaker working with a Korean cast to tell a story about the baby box phenomenon in South Korea.
