A little less than a year ago, it was thought that Derek Cianfrance and Ryan Gosling would bring us a “Wolf Man” remake. However, a lot has changed since then, as Leigh Whannell and actor Christopher Abbott are the folks who are actually making the film, which will arrive in early 2025.

If you’re a fan of true-crime and Netflix, you’ve probably gone down the “Worst Roommate Ever” rabbit hole. If so, you will be jazzed by the idea that Jason Blum and Blumhouse are bringing the Netflix series to life on the big screen with the help of Paul Feig.

According to Blumhouse, Paul Feig has been brought on to direct a new film titled “Worst Roommate Ever.” The series is based on the same New York Magazine article by William Brennan that inspired the hit unscripted television series “Worst Roommate Ever.”

The film’s plot begins when “a newly single woman finds a seemingly perfect gentleman to sublet the spare room in her dream home, but she soon learns that his deceit goes beyond a phony name and application, and she has unwittingly invited a serial squatter into her home who won’t leave without a fight.”

“Jason and I have been trying to find the perfect project to collaborate on for years and this story is tailor-made to deliver the scares, thrills, emotion and comedy of dread that both he and I like to entertain audiences with,” said Feig.

James Wan has another horror universe in the making, and while it’s unfortunately not for 2021’s “Malignant,” this offshoot of “M3GAN” may be the next best thing. Deadline reports that Wan’s Atomic Monster banner and Blumhouse will team up again for “SOULM8TE,” a new spinoff to the early 2023 horror hit.  It’ll be the third film in the “M3GAN” franchise, after “M3GAN 2.0,” which hits theaters next year on June 27, 2025.

Well, it’s official: after starting talks with Blumhouse earlier this month, Mike Flanagan will write, direct, and produce the studio’s next “Exorcist” film.  But Deadline reports that the project isn’t a sequel to “The Exorcist: Believer” anymore.  Instead, Flanagan will helm “a radical new take” on the horror series for Blumhouse and Morgan Creek, effectively starting the franchise over.

“Thread: An Insidious Tale” tells the story of a married couple who attempt to use a spell to travel back in time to stop the death of their young child.
