If you were around at the time, then you know what a big deal it was. A lot has changed since then, but, in some ways, very little has changed. “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe,” the puerile pairing’s second full-length feature, premieres on Paramount+ ahead of a new series that will land on the streamer this fall.

First off, ViacomCBS? It’s going back to being called just Paramount. Details were also revealed about “South Park,” more “Beavis And Butthead,” and a “Teen Wolf” movie.

The idiots known as Beavis and Butt-Head are returning to TV screens. This time, the animated duo are expected to jump from MTV to Comedy Central, with a new deal to bring the ‘90s series back to life.

According to THR, Comedy Central has worked out a deal with “Beavis and Butt-Head” creator Mike Judge to bring the series back for two more seasons and possible spin-offs.

Chud’s Rumor of the Day (via REVIEWniverse) is that Mike Judge, the brains behind “King of the Hill,” “Office Space” and “Idiocracy,” the master of the post-modern suburban ennui oeuvre, is prepping 30 new episodes of the show that put him on the map, the inimitable “Beavis and Butthead.” The crude cartoon, reflecting a generation of mid-90s metal-obsessed awkward 14 year old boys, is an instant classic for anyone who watched MTV during that time, and reached its apex with the feature film, “Beavis and Butthead Do America,” which wasn’t half-bad (it could be better than half-bad, this writer hasn’t seen it since teenage years so we don’t trust our judgment, though it was enjoyed quite a lot at the time).

Bored With Reporters And Needing Something To Talk About, Mike Judge Vaguely Considers Live-Action ‘Beavis & Butthead’

After years of loathing the very idea of a live-action “Beavis & Butthead” movie, creator Mike Judge is now relaxing his grip as he gets a little older and the cash-flow gets a little lighter and at least considering the possiblity of such a film.

“I haven’t yet said, ‘OK, I wanna make a live-action ‘Beavis & Butt-Head’ movie, and here’s the idea.’ But for some reason, I used to hate the idea for years, and now I think maybe there’s something there,” Judge told MTV.
