Ok, there’s not a lot to this one and we’re slightly puzzled that this is the first way Michael Moore steps out with his new, still untitled financial meltdown documentary, but we suppose it does the job of getting the word out there. But no footage from the actual film?

Though it’s not really much to look at, here’s your first look at Michel Moore’s still untitled Wall Street doc with a still of the filmmaker outside Goldman Sachs headquarters in Manhattan.

Looks like building security and or a police man are giving him flack for filming outside the building. What else is new?

“The movie is not going to be an economics lesson; it’s going to be more like a vampire movie,” Moore joked to USA Today about the hemorrhaging of cash the average American citizen felt during the financial meltdown.

Michael Moore’s New, Still Untitled Economic Crisis Documentary Due October 2nd

Michael Moore’s untitled (but possibly titled “Bailout”) Wall Street/economic crisis documentary is now set for an October 2nd release. The film is described as “a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans” that culminated in what Moore has described as “the biggest robbery in the history of this country.”

Overture Films and Paramount Vantage, the co-financiers and distributors are releasing the picture on a date that goes head to head with Scorsese’s “Shutter Island,” and the Coen Brothers’ “A Serious Man.”

“The wealthy, at some point, decided they didn’t have enough wealth,” Moore said in a statement Thursday.

Michael Moore’s Bailout Economy Doc Will Come Out Before End Of 2009

Michael Moore’s “sequel” follow up to “Fahrenheit 9/11” — said to be an economic-centered doc possibly called, “Bailout” — is set for a release before the end of the year through Overture Films and Paramount Vantage according to small mention in a Variety article.

Details on the film has been fluid and it seems to be an ever-evolving process. At first the “sequel” seemed to focus on foreign policy, but then changed gears midway and started to look at economy around the time the financial crisis started last fall.

Is Michael Moore New Economy Crisis Doc Called, ‘Bailout’? Director Asks Wall Street Insiders To Participate

Last we all heard from muckracker Michael Moore, the filmmaker had changed the focus of his post-“Fahrenheit 9/11” documentary cum “sequel” from foreign policy to the economy. The move was smart, the economic crisis/recession, and the number of workers who have received pink slips in the last three-four months is basically the only thing in the news and on people’s minds anymore. When was the last time you heard CNN talk about foreign policy?

So in his latest email blast on his website, Moore has written that he’s looking for help with his new film and he wants Wall Street employees, insiders and people on the ground floor to participate and tell the real story of what happened with our economic downturn.
