Critics hated the action flick on its release in 2005, with it currently holding a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It didn’t make back its budget at the box office either, taking in only $52 million on a $62 million budget. In a word, yikes.

The Bluth family is getting a bit of a pay increase.

After the creator of “Arrested Development,” Mitch Hurwitz, went public earlier this month to announce plans for a “remixed” season 4 of the series, fans were elated. The original format of season 4 included 15 extra-long episodes that each focused on a different cast member. This decision was chalked up to a budgetary/scheduling decision but ultimately the changes fell flat with audiences.

Sadly, it appears that fans will only get one half of the season in May, consisting of 8 episodes. Then at an unspecified “later date,” Netflix will release the final 8 episodes.

It looks like there’s still money left in the banana stand. Jason Bateman took to twitter this evening to announce the “probable” return of the Bluth family for “Arrested Development” season 5.

“Looks very probable I’m going to put some miles on the Stair Car this summer,” Bateman wrote in reference to the Bluth family vehicle featured in all of the past seasons. “Just officially signed on to more ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT today.”
