Kennedy. Still, sometimes, projects in Hollywood come together fast, especially when there’s a hot cast attached. And that’s precisely what’s happened with “Paper Tigers,” a new project that Gray will write and direct starring Academy Award nominee Adam Driver (“BlacKkKlansman,” “Marriage Story”), Emmy and Tony Award winner Jeremy Strong ( “Succession,” The Apprentice”), and Academy Award Winner Anne Hathaway (“Les Misérables,” “The Devil Wears Prada”).

How far will a mother go to seek perceived revenge for the death of her son? That’s the question at the heart of the Hitchcock-ian thriller, “Mothers’ Instinct.”

As seen in the trailer, “Mothers’ Instinct” follows the story of two women who are close neighbors and friends. Their bond is shattered after the son of one of the women dies after a tragic accident. The other mother then begins to believe that she is being targeted for revenge, even though she seemingly couldn’t have done anything to prevent the accident.

That seems to be the case with “Mother’s Instinct,” the directorial debut of well-renowned French DP Benoît Delhomme. Known for films like Anton Corbijn’s “A Most Wanted Man” and Julian Schnabel’s “At Eternity’s Gate,” he’s also worked with Jessica Chastain a few times on “Lawless,” “Wild Salome,” and some photography work he did for Terrence Malick’s “Tree Of Life.” So perhaps the favor extends to starring in “Mother’s Instinct,” Delhomme’s directorial debut, which will arrive later this year via NEON.

Almost like clockwork, the filmmaker will follow up an indie film with a big-budget film before coming back to another indie drama. A couple of years ago, we saw him release “The Green Knight,” which is being followed up by “Peter Pan & Wendy.” And as we could have predicted, after he’s done playing with Disney, he’s going back to his indie playground with a new film from A24 titled “Mother Mary.”
