Pixar Animation Studios’ Chief creative officer, Peter Docter, also the director of “Inside Out,” “Up,” and “Soul,” said earlier today that the animation company would reveal the existence of a new animated film in Anaheim tonight. Sure enough, at Disney’s D23 Expo, Pixar announced a new film called “Hoppers,” which has been dated for March 6, 2026.

You can’t mention director Andrew Stanton’s name without thinking about two things, the Oscar-winning Pixar animated film “Wall-E” and the infamous box office flop “John Carter” which starred Taylor Kitsch. The last movie, which debuted in 2012, seemed to have derailed Stanton’s feature-length film work for years. However, the fallow period appears to be ending. A new report reveals a second live-action studio film in the works with a considerable scope.

Maya Hawke is about to become a victim of Beatlemania. Well, not literally, but she will play a teen obsessed with the rock band in the upcoming film, “Revolver.”

According to Variety, Maya Hawke is set to star opposite her father, Ethan Hawke, in the new coming-of-age film, “Revolver,” directed by Andrew Stanton. As teased above, the film follows the story of a teen girl that lives in Anchorage, Alaska in 1966.

Andrew Stanton has had a ton of success as a filmmaker. Well, success with animated films, at least. He won two Oscars for films such as “Finding Nemo” and “WALL-E,” but his attempt at live-action filmmaking, the 2012 feature “John Carter,” has gone down in history as one of the more notorious box office flops. But that hasn’t dissuaded Stanton from trying his hand at live-action filmmaking one more time, with the upcoming “Chairman Spaceman.”

According to Deadline, Stanton is in early talks with Searchlight Pictures and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films to helm the upcoming feature, “Chairman Spaceman,” based on Thomas Pierce’s New Yorker short story of the same name.

Early on in the third episode of the new Amazon Prime series, “Tales From The Loop,” Russ Willard (Jonathan Pryce) brings his young grandson Cole (Duncan Joiner) to an abandoned and rust, dilapidated sphere somewhere on the outskirts of the fictional town of Mersa, Ohio. Russ tells Cole to step up and yell inside it. Cole does as he’s told and hears “Hello” repeat six times in what sounds like six increasingly different voices.
