The soundtrack to “Terminator Salvation” hits stores next week on May 19th 2009.

By now you’re surely well aware that Danny Elfman (the guy who loves the crazy clown-like scores) composed the music to the McG-directed film (and may or may not have written a score that quotes the original “Terminator” score that the fans love and cherish dearly).

McGinty originally wanted Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Gustavo Santaolalla (“Babel,” “21 Grams,” “Brokeback Mountain”) to write some music for the film and presumably something in the closing credits, since Elfman was doing the proper score, but that never happened obviously.

Mostly unknown newcomer Lathan McKay has been cast to play Layne Stayley in the upcoming Alice In Chains biopic, “Get Born Again“

Based off of Argentine journalist Adriana Rubio’s sensationalist, amateurish and poorly-received biography of the same name – which was originally titled “Angry Chair,” before she revised it after his death – the author’s remora-eel-like approach to writing the book was spent interviewing a brutally withering Stayley three months before his 2002 death and shamelessly getting the pathetic drug addict to admit all his dying wishes and commit them to print.
