If the upcoming crime series at Amazon, “Criminal,” hasn’t piqued your interest yet, it should. Variety announced this week the two leads, Emilia Clarke (“Game Of Thrones,” “Solo: A Star Wars Story”) and Luke Evans (“The Hobbit,” “Our Son”), and the project is shaping up quite nicely.

The series is based on the graphic novels by comics writers Ed Brubaker (creator of Marvel’s Winter Solider character) and Sean Phillips and is said to be about an interlocking, intergenerational story of families connected through shared criminal history.

Charlie Hunman is headed back to TV, and in a big way. Deadline reports that the British actor will lead the upcoming Prime Video series based on Ed Brubaker‘s graphic novel series “Criminal.” He joins a cast that already includes Adria Arjona, Richard Jenkins, and Kadeem Hardison. So will Hunman supply the onscreen magic that helped make FX‘s “Sons Of Anarchy” such a smash hit, or will “Criminal” be more like the actor’s last stint in television, the short-lived Apple TV+ series “Shantaram“?

HBO Max is behind a modern version of the romantic comedy “Father of The Bride.” Andy Garcia, likely best known for Steven Soderbergh‘s “Oceans” movies, is playing the titular father, Billy. Garcia has been paired up with pop music icon Gloria Estefan as Billy’s wife Ingrid as he begrudgingly goes along with the speedy wedding.

They’ve now released a brand new trailer (see below) and the film is coming next month, so you won’t have to wait too long to watch the comedy.

Sometimes it’s the big, bold “PARIS, FRANCE” chyron over an aerial shot of the Eiffel Tower; sometimes we get a widescreen image of the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Capital building with a helpful “WASHINGTON, D.C.” In “Morbius,” our title character is explaining to his best friend that an experimental procedure has to be performed in international waters, after which director Daniel Espinoza cuts to a giant shipping boat, in the middle of the ocean, with the words “INTERNATIONAL WATERS, EASTERN SEABOARD” plastered on the bottom of the screen.

Fear not, Hulu subscribers, the Disney-owned streamer has its own anthology series from Mary Laws (“Succession,” “The Neon Demon“) called, “Monsterland.”
