If the name Steven D. Bingley-Ellison doesn’t sound familiar, well, Bingley-Ellison is also the Grammy-winning American record producer, DJ, filmmaker, and rapper known as Flying Lotus. Lotus has released seven studio albums, but he actually attended the Los Angeles Film School and Academy of Art University, and he’s putting his film degree to good use with his latest cinematic effort, “Ash.”

“Ash” is an upcoming science fiction thriller film in which a woman wakes up on a distant planet to find that the crew of her space station has been killed.

Flying Lotus (aka Steven Ellison) has already made a name for himself in the music business as a Grammy Award-winning rapper, producer, and composer. But the multi-hyphenate dabbles in film production, too, like his 2017 feature debut “Kuso,” which had its world premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. There’s also his installment in the “V/H/S/99” horror anthology from last year, which he wrote, directed, and scored himself.

Karen Gillan in on the verge of her big breakout. Sure, she’s been featured in some of the biggest films of the last several years, with roles in two “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, two “Jumanji” films, and two “Avengers” films. But all of those appearances have been in supporting roles, without the necessary spotlight for Gillan to showcase everything she’s capable of.

Aaron Paul is still Jesse Pinkman in the eyes of many “Breaking Bad” fans. And starring in last year’s “El Camino” probably didn’t do much for the actor if he wants to shed that image. That being said, he has done things that aren’t “Breaking Bad” related, including this new season of “Westworld.” But on the big screen, Paul’s attempts at superstardom haven’t gone as planned, particularly in the case of “Need for Speed.”

Released in 2014, “Need for Speed” was an attempt to mimic the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise formula of fast cars and action, but failed to connect with audiences in the same way Vin Diesel’s films do.

“Westworld” has a woman problem. Not the show, the place: the HBO hit’s eponymous, fictional theme park where the wealthy can cavort with lifelike cyborgs (“hosts”) in an idyllic Western town. In Westworld, female hosts are decorative and disposable, their synthetic vaginas granting all other characters permission to buy or rape or kill or otherwise terrorize them. The stories they’ve been assigned by the park’s staff outright encourage it – take Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood), the nubile farm girl and favored sexual conquest, or Maeve Millay (Thandie Newton), the smart-mouthed madame.

The internet is a wonderful place. Well, once you get past all the rampant racism and terribly dark, disgusting, and illegal segments. Overall, it’s a place where people are able to exchange information from all corners of the globe. And it’s also a platform for actors to answer fan questions about a possible story that would end up playing out years later on Netflix. At least, that was the case with Aaron Paul and a simple AMA on Reddit that seemingly gave his predictions about ‘El Camino’ three years ago.

When we last saw Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), he was scarred, battered, and roaring a howl of pain and panic, driving away from the grimmest possible fate, as fast as he could, in an El Camino. That car provides the title for “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie,” Netflix’s new feature-length continuation of the beloved six-season television series, but not its modus operandi; while its use as a getaway car at the end of the series (and beginning of this film) is a high-speed, pedal-to-the-medal situation, the film itself is a pokey, introspective affair, a protracted curtain call that gives us one more look at many of our favorite characters, without actually going much of anywhere.

It’s an alarming trend as of late. Men and women—incarcerated for years upon years—are being set free after discovering they’ve been doing someone else’s time in prison. To say such a realization is both infuriating and soul-crushing is an understatement. It also calls into question the legal system as a whole. Are all parts doing their due diligence in seeing that an accused individual is truly innocent until proven guilty? A question like this and circumstances like these form the backbone of the upcoming Apple TV+ series “Truth Be Told.”

For many people, walking past Aaron Paul on the side of the road might be startling, sure, but also pretty damn awesome. However, in the new film “The Parts You Lose,” when a young boy stumbles upon a hurt man, played by Paul, the situation is far from ideal and could end up leading to some unintended violence.

And in honor of “The Parts You Lose” arriving in theaters this week, we’re happy to give our readers an exclusive look at a clip from the film, showing just why Aaron Paul, or more specifically, the character he plays, wouldn’t be the best person to cross paths with.

What’s next for Jesse Pinkman? That’s the question that many “Breaking Bad” fans had at the end of the series, as the character was seen barely escaping captivity and seemingly driving off into the sunset to live the rest of his life. And apparently, it’s a question that not only lingered in the minds of fans but also with series creator Vince Gilligan, who decided to provide an answer in the upcoming “El Camino.”

As seen in the first full trailer for “El Camino,” what immediately happened to Jesse is that he ran to his best friends, Badger and Skinny Pete.

“Breaking Bad” fans, hold your introductory meth lab kits. Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) is back, and he’s going to star in a sequel called, “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.” As the new teaser demonstrates, unveiled tonight during the Emmy broadcast, “El Camino” picks up just hours after the events of the “Breaking Bad” finale– the Alberqurque police putting out an APB bulletin about Pinkman’s whereabouts, though they obviously don’t know his identity.

We may still be recovering from (wrongly) assuming that the immortal “Breaking Bad” duo of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul were teasing a project based on the uber-popular TV series over the summer, but Netflix may have just made it a whole lot easier to move on from that.

It’s probably not a huge shock to learn that in the new film “The Parts You Lose,” actor Aaron Paul plays a criminal. That isn’t to say that he’s incapable of portraying law-abiding citizens, but ever since his run on the series “Breaking Bad,” Paul has been known more for playing someone on the wrong side of the law.

However, as seen in the trailer for “The Parts You Lose,” Paul isn’t totally a terrible person.
