I think he\’s probably right to leave it. Rambo was a lone soldier, no family and friends to carry things on like Rocky and Creed. In Rambo 4 \’he went home\’ as Brian Dennehy says in the first film. What better way to end it. He tied up his own personal story with Rocky Balboa which was a fitting end, now he\’s passing the baton onto Apollo\’s son

I would love for the franchise to be rebooted, but to stay within the confines of the original First Blood character, none of the over the top comic book superhero crap we saw in each subsequent movie. His Vietnam POW background, should be replaced with a Afghan vet with PTSD.

I doubt he conveniently forgot about Creed, given how he was involved in that. It\’s like a symbolic passing of the torch in that situation, where this television show probably doesn\’t have the means to cover pulling something like that off because of its budget. Anyway, I kinda wish the last thing Rambo he was involved with was that crappy 2014 on-rails shooter game – I feel that if he were, it wouldn\’t have been so horrendously offensive to the First Blood source material and could\’ve been the last place for an original story to happen in the series.
