Yeah, i can\’t see me enjoying this one much, and if Ellen Page wasn\’t in it i\’m very sure i wouldn\’t even consider it. But i\’m happy to watch Ellen in anything so there\’s a fair chance i will.

Ps… (long-shot)… Ellen…. if you read this…. i\’d like nothing more than to meet you someday; particularly to listen to, share & talk music with you. Your tastes, variety and love for it is awesome. As is your care to all things – politcal, environmental, etc. I am over a foot taller than you & a little over 5 months older, am English & a highly skilled soccer (football) player with a great love of Canada & the outdoors. I love the same sports & music as yourself, play a little guitar & sing like an angel. I am also a lonely & vulnerable ol\’ soul in need of, eh-hum… a side-kick. Gee this looks as if somebody saw DEFENDOR thought it was a fun premise & changed a few things around for copyright purposes. Hey I don\’t care – I\’ll likely see SUPER; good cast. And sure, plenty of different plot points for me. Well, who knows who really thinks of anything first in Hollywood. But this article should\’ve at least mentioned the Woody Harrelson/Kat Dennings flick. BTW don\’t waste time pointing out \”no idea is new.\” A social misfit becomes self made super-hero paired w/cute sidekick. Kick – ass, anyone?

…and on the subject of \’nothing is original\’-
has anyone ever seen Fight Club? I can\’t say I\’ve ever read a book, or seen a flick that this film even came close to ripping off. The problem is- most producers have no talent or eye for talent. They see with thier bank accounts and just produce shit they think will make money. If it were done otherwise, we wouldn\’t have garbage cluttering the screen like Red Riding Hood, or a 17th remake of Alice in Wonderland, or even Avatar, which was one of the worst films I\’ve ever seen.

I can\’t stand Raine Wilson, and even as a big fan and admirer of Page & Tyler- there is very little chance I\’ll ever force myself to watch this garbage. I hate spoofs, and Blankman & Defendor (while not a comedy) allready told this story. No idea why Gunn thought he had a film worth making here. I\’ll be watching Captain America/Thor/Sucker Punch/Transformers instead, as I know I will most certainly enjoy those films.
