I didn't think this movie was even slightly scary. I've heard it compared to The Exorcist and based on this I was expecting a lot. What a disappointment! I'm creating a new category of film, hyped horror, with Blair Witch as the premiere example and this movie a close second. The Ring and The Grudge do a much better job.

Nice Review of Insidious, it was spot on. There is some awesome eye candy in this movie. Astral projection and remote viewing aren\’t the same thing, astral projection is just another name for out of body experiences. They\’ve been a part of various myths way longer than the U.S army has been around.

This film looks terrible but of all the things to lay into it about your own misinformation on spiritual beliefs isn\’t one of them. I mean it\’s a ghost movie for god\’s sake, i.e. pure fantasy, are you going to say the poltergeists moaned in an unrealistic pitch as well?

I second that. This is the first bad review I have read. It scared the crap out of me and it was just a PG-13 rating! Amazing what you can do maximizing your arsenal of tricks without having to use gore and profanity (not that I don\’t enjoy them). I found it to be intense throughout NEVER letting you go. The entire theater had a great time on this roller coaster of a movie as we jumped and laughed together. For the first time in a long time I felt I got my moneys worth. It was great fun to be constantly spooked knowing I would be timidly checking the shadows at home later that night 🙂
I also enjoyed \”Drag me to Hell\”. Both flicks were great fun in their own ways.

Good movie, loved the creepy haunted house scenes, especially at the end! Seems like it was filmed in SoCal, in one of those cool Craftsman houses. Wish there was more of a resolution, it kind of left you wondering. Original story, though, an overall great movie that\’s not too predictable, scary as hell, but doesn\’t leave you with a \”kinked slinky\” when you try to go to sleep! However, I cannot get that bloody \”Tiptoe Thru the Tulips\” song out of my head (thanks, guys).
