It isn\’t the outcome that makes this review terrible, it is the overly analytical manner. It sounds like an attempt to get a good grade on a Psychology and The Movies final exam. \”Could do without the farts?\” It\’s all about the farts, man! You missed the entire purpose of the movie. Wiig\’s character isn\’t meant to be analyzed for \”self-destructive\” tendencies. The character is a total exageration. The point of emphasis of this movie is that you can smash together a chic flick, a romantic comedy and a raunchy comedy, and not lose the contribution from each genre. Apatow tried with some success in Knocked Up, but really hit it with this movie. The contrast of lonely drifting girl versus best friend getting married is just a vehicle to create a plot and drive the comic tension, not a basis for psychoanalysis.

What are you two whiners talking about? The reviewer states VERY PLAINLY in the title of the article that he believes the movie to be \”Hilarioius & Heartfelt.\” How much more clearly does he need to spell his reaction out to you?

The review sucks man. You didn\’t say anything about the movie, only about Kristen Wiig\’s character
