You can hardly praise something for being emotionally honest and true-to-life while having an issue with its portrayal of a man as logical and collected and a woman as emotional and unhinged during an argument. Just sayin...lol

Like the small but mighty number of us who were captivated by Jesse and Celine 18 years ago, I am so incredibly excited to see the third installment of these amazing movies. As much as I told myself that I would not read any reviews, I knew in my heart that I would. First thing this morning, I read this review and it took my breath away.

Like so many of you, I too spent the last 9 years wondering where these characters would be and as much as I wanted them together, a part of me is sad that they finally are. What was equally frustrating and endearing to me, was the longing to be together that they shared for so long. The frustrating anticipation of "will they or won't they" was so intoxicating and I found that the true core of romanticism. The first will and always have my heart. The youth and innocence of unexpected love made me want to buy a eurail pass and find my Jesse. Two people meeting out of the blue and having a connection so enduring and deep, that turned their lives and hearts upside down. The only thing keeping them apart was the distance and I was completely accepting of that because I knew they were meant to be. I don't know how many times I have watched the 1st film, but it never fails that I cry every single time. That emotion never diminishes. So with knowing what happens to them in the 3rd, it truly does make me a little sad. But life is constantly evolving and changes us and nobody can be 22 year old romantic dreamers forever….not even Jesse and Celine. I know I will go into the theater totally forgetting that I know anything that will happen and I will be swept away like I was with the first two. I know I don't want this to be the end. I want to see them old and gray.

Nobody I know has ever heard of these movies and I love that. In some small way I feel like they are my little secret and all my own to fall in love with all over again.
