Stealing one trademark might be passable but he also steals much of the aesthetics for the main characters from Anderson's films rushmore and royal tennenbaum's. Of course Wes stole them from Sallinger's stories but he made them his own, this was just derivative. To say wasn't inspired by Anderson they just have the same influences is BS, look at Richard's early film clip work you can see he is directly copying Anderson, if you are "paying homage" to someone so blatantly, at least own it when asked about it.

No respect for this guy after this BS answer. He's clearly been dreaming up this answer for a while….
