Everyone should read it. I\’m not too psyched about this team, though. They have the potential to do something good, but more likely they\’re just going to completely screw it up. The story has fun, action, and humor in it, but it\’s really an intense and emotional character study, so you need a really good script, good direction, and a super stellar little-kid cast to pull it off.

As for the youth angle, this is a story about elementary-school age geniuses, and I was assigned to read it in 7th grade. So it\’s going to be marketed to the early teen age group no matter what. Hopefully it\’s marketed more as a later-Harry Potter style thing, though, where everyone knows there\’s serious stakes but it\’s still appropriate enough for kids.
