Including a TON of heavy references to Indiana Jones, Jaws, Close Encounters & almost everything Amblin. It would be weird for Speilberg to directly reference his past work but it would also be glaringly noticeable if a film all about characters in love with 80s pop culture & nostalgia never reference the loads of material Spielberg added to pop culture in that decade. Strange…. Felt like something ripe for Edgar Wright.
