My enthusiasm for the movie and Hamlisch's work in it is undimmed. I got a real sense that many critics just didn't quite know what to make of it or of Hamlisch's participation in it. They were trying to peg the story too hard to its actual time period, but it's pretty clear Soderbergh is going for something else entirely.

Whether it works or not remains to be seen, but I can't wait.

In fact, I he was the conductor for the Halloween themed symphony concert that I attended on October 31st, 2008 and it was quite an entertaining concert!
