Like another favorite involing magicians ("Carter Beats the Devil") I would hope it would be made as a short-form series as opposed to a single movie, as it would be almost impossible not to lose a good portion of the heart of the piece to fit it into a 2.5 hour run-time. Eight hours seems a bit long, but I could see a 4-5 hour version of this working.

Oh, and I'd rather see "Carter Beats the Devil" honestly, as that book blew me away.
