Let's make this clear: Portman and Fassbender were originally cast as the romantic leads, with Edgerton as the villain. Then Fassbender left. Edgerton was recast as the love interest, with Jude Law replacing Edgerton as the villain. Ramsay left, and so did Law. Noah Emmerich was cast as Portman's husband. Law was then replaced by Cooper. Then Cooper left, and has been replaced by McGregor.

This is almost as upsetting as finding out that Natalie somehow got her greasy paws on the role of lady Macbeth.

As fun as the movie may turn out to be, I just can't help but to think how much better Ramsey's version would have been.
P.S. wasn't Fassbender Frost instead of Bishop?

I love Ewan, but I have to admit that I've learned to temper my excitement about any casting news for this movie because of the number of people who have signed on only to later bow out. Until I see photos of him on set in costume, I'm not holding my breath.
