I’m sorry to all of the episode-obsessed out there, but after seeing this film twice, I can’t shake it anymore: purely on enjoyment alone, ROGUE ONE beats the pants off THE LAST JEDI.

Easily my favourite film of 2017. 150 mins of sheer fun and joy.

The best film however for me, was Wind River.

Tickets sold out of curiosity or fandom, doesn’t mean the film isn’t a train-wreck of faux modernism and PC Pavlovism.

I think what’s happening is people hate TLJ so much, they’re going 3 or 4 times just to REALLY crystallize what it is they loathe about it. That’s the only thing that makes sense, the second time they’re just dumbfounded that it got even worse than the first viewing, considering their first viewing was apparently a dumpster full of excrement being napalmed, and after that, the 3rd and 4th is just to see how far down the space slug hole goes. I don’t think Disney would be making as much money without them, so hats off to those guys.
