btw, why does everyone care so much about star wars? they havent made a good star wars movie since the 80's. its like saying, oh wow, I cant wait for Jaws 5!

"Though why he's throwing Simon West under the bus is a bit of a mystery". hes not throwing him under the bus, he's just saying he's not a fan of his style of filmmaking. tarantino has always been very straightfoward about his likes and dislikes when it comes to film criticism. it comes from being a film fanatic. we love praising the good one and tearing down the bad ones..

He says Simon West because Simon West is very hollywood. Very substance-less, too. He is obviously worried that they won't really capture what made star wars special and instead turn it into a generic sci-fi adventure. That it won't be special; that it'll be the expendables, or tomb raider. not star wars.

You never need to apologize for Zac Synder not directing a film. In fact you should apologize when he does direct one.
