He can do Blade, Sgt. Rock (DC), The Punisher, or Judge Dredd. I, for one, am sick of PG-13 superhero movies. The only movie in the genre I've enjoyed in years was Dredd.

With that said, he should do whatever the hell he wants.

Good for him. It's a weird state of affairs when bland, generic, mass-market, popcorn franchises are now seen as a pinnacle of cinema.

I would rather this generation of directors, along with Ben Wheatley, spend 2-3 years on their own genre films than labor on a Marvel/DC movie that has almost none of their point of view.
