I love Emma Stone as an actress, watching her and Andrew is a delight. But, they have to stay true to the Comic. Gwens Death willl be an incredible and emotional scene to watch that I myself am looking forward too, despite how much I don't want her character to die. I don't like the idea that Shailene Woodley is playing Mary Jane though… I just don't think she suits the part very well in my opinion.

Two trilogies. The first ending in Gwen's death, which Peter blames on himself. (They could come up with something totally original in how she dies.) The second would focus on Peter going through all the steps of grieving, and how it affects him as Peter and as Spider-Man. So much potential.

As long as they don't introduce Gwen and Norman Osborn's love children. *gack*

The film people who adapt Marvel properties aren't the only ones that screw things up. Marvel does enough of that one their own. And then try to subtly fix their mistakes with a sledgehammer.

Well i did hope that they actually let Gwen staying alive cuz she is one of my favorite characters in marvel history. And like many others im not a huge fan of MJ. Even i think it was a really good plot twist let the main charecters girl friend die. this story will always make me cry hard inside. :'(

Shailene Woodley as MJ though? Staying true to the comic books is a great idea but they should cast an actress as good as Emma stone so people will actually enjoy watching after they kill Gwen off.

I knew they were going to do the "Death of Gwen Stacy" story a long time ago when they announced that she was his love interest in this movie. I knew that they were going to bring Mary Jane and Green Goblin back in this series. Raimi's Spider-Man was whack. And the "Amazing" series will be leaps and bounds better with their trilogy. Case in point the first one was way better that Raimi's 1st Spider-Man. This new trilogy has potential to create one of the best hero movie or just movie period made if they do the Death of Gwen Stacy story.

When you say "We're doing a Gwen Stacy story", the audience wonders if she'll be killed off, when you say "We're doing the death of Gwen Stacy", the audience loses all opportunity to question her fate, when you say "We're doing the specific take on the death of Gwen Stacy where Spider-Man finds out that the whiplash from his Spider-Web broke her neck" there's no fucking point to even seeing this movie anymore.

Please respect the spoiler warning. This kind of thing is why I stopped reading reviews and websites for many years.

How about not only sawing off the branch they're sitting on, but the whole tree the carries it?! And thinking one had to sit through three Spider-man films featuring Ms. Dunst; they could've easily made her "disappear during the first one without my disapproval…

I have become too emotionally invested in Gwen Stacy and Emma Stone so I realllyyyyyy don't want Stacy 2 die. Stacy is smart, active and kinda a shy girl next door. I like how her personality is so real and not just some damsel in distress. Unlike, Mary Jane whose always calling for help and is basically boring. I've never liked Mary Jane and hate Wodley even more , especially since she's a HORRIBLE actress!

But I believe gwen should not be killed Emma's scenes are what
Held the movie together and her character hits all over Mary Jane like if she dies the audience will be too invested in there romance to worry about some red headed skank . Raimi's Spiderman showed mj so let the new one focus on gwen ….most audience members would not have even read that issue of Spiderman that kills off gwen ….the movie would be much more appealing to non readers of the source material ….if I wanted to watch a guy lose his girlfriend and his uncle prematurely by his own actions I'd go watch a drama ….I mean sure dangle gwen in danger for suspence but don't follow through …..mj should just date flash and that's it

They should keep gwen stacey alive because she was a big impact in the film, we have seen to much of mj in the old trilogy and they should try something different this time, there is such a good storyline in the new film and shouldn't ruin it. THEY CAN'T LET GWEN DIE!!!!! i've become so attached to her in the first movie and the thought of her being gone makes me not even want to see the second one! Peter had gone threw so many tragedies all ready so the new movie should just be about him learning about his past, finding himself, and being spider man threw it all. It would be great to see gwen and peter grow together throughout the movie also, THEY HAVE TO KEEP HER IN!!!!

I really think they should stay true to the comic. I mean I love Emma Stone and I love Spiderman and Gwen in the first movie, it's adorable, but in order for them to really build on the whole Peter and Mary Jane marriage it must be done. Though I don't think Shailene Woodley should play Mary Jane, noway! They Should have just kept Emma Stone for a later movie becuase she would have made a perfect Mary Jane. 🙁

Although I grew up with Mary Jane, it would be better to see this developed character portrayed by a skilful actress, still in the game!

Personally, i don't want Gwen to be killed off that soon.. at least not in next film.. but if they do it, i at least hope for heartbreaking scene that would be memorized by all.. Emma is excellent actress and they have great chemistry with Andrew. I believe those two can make this scene something special and unforgeable especially with Mark Webb as a director..

No, No, No. Stone and Garfield's time together onscreen were the best parts of the film. The rest was wildly uneven. If Sony kills Gwen Stacy they'll effectively kill a large chunk of the audience's interest. People are already invested in the Stacy-Parker romance. If this were a TV series it could work but for not for a trilogy no matter how good Woodley turns out to be.
