I don't know what was divisive about Soderbergh's speech. He was about as empathetic and understanding of the studio's pov as anyone with a soul could be.

Shocked! I'm shocked that an industry based on capital intensive business model, which already turns out formulaic concepts — action films, chick flicks, rom-coms, horror etc.– would use predictive tools to minimize risk. SHOCKED!
