Can none of your read? This is not a Most Talented list so stop whining pointlessly because your favorite actress isn\’t here. This is a list of the actresses who\’ve been mentioned most often for upcoming roles; the point is to suss out why.

Though I disagree with many of the points made. For instance, you guys say that McAdams held her own in Sherlock Holmes? She was the cast member most consistently singled out for giving a mediocre performance. It happened again in The Time Traveler\’s Wife. AND she was not the scene stealer in Wedding Crashers; Isla Fisher was. Also, her fans kept the Ness rumor alive for so long Fincher was eventually asked about casting her; to me he seemed both confused someone would suggest to him an actress best known for her forgettable romcoms, and annoyed that he kept being asked. He stated he wasn\’t considering her. She never was up for Ness.

I doubt her agent has much to do with it. I\’ve been tracking her for years since everyone insisted she was the Next Big Thing, and she\’s actively sought roles in the Fantastic Four movies and The Last Kiss, but turned down roles in Iron Man and The Dark Knight.

Lively made it as far as screen testing for the Gatsby film; once they saw her act they chose Mulligan. Lively seems to be one of those actresses who clog up auditions because of manufactured buzz.

Wilde seems to be cast largely for being attractive as her best-known role to date has been as Thirteen and I don\’t know if that show ever saw anyone before or since become more hated by a fanbase or critics.

I think it\’s interesting that Portman has turned down every single role she\’s been offered since BS started raking in the great reviews and is instead focusing on the projects she was interested in a few years ago. Don\’t forget she\’s attached to Tom Tywker\’s Cloud Atlas with Tom Hanks and Halle Berry.

Blake Lively? lol lol

Mia Wasikowska is doing LAbert Nobbs isn\’t she? I am sure I read that she took over that role.

Charlize Theron? she is still a go to gal? I am sorry, she has fallen off big time.

Mary Elizabeth is still fairly new, so I doubt she is on people\’s cast wish list. However, maybe some roles in the future could change that.

No Gemma Arterton? I think she is definitely on a few people\’s wishlists and had four films out this year… she is having a quiet 2010 in terms of film production due to stage commitments (and all that publicity work!), but i\’m sure she is still a go-to-gal for projects shooting next year. And she was in the mix for the Alien prequel… She deserves at least an honorable mention…

I have to agree with the others here—not having Stone or Seyfried on the list doesn\’t make any sense. Especially with someone like Winstead on there. And this list seems a little unfocused—is it meant to be up-and-comers of a certain age, or established actresses? Because having Theron on there doesn\’t make any sense based on the reasons you\’ve eliminated Adams, Weisz and Hathaway for. Anyway, Cornish is a good pick. She deserves to be a bigger deal than she is.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead being on this list for her role as the very bland and very boring Ramona Flowers in \”Scott Pilgrim\” is proof that Hollywood has gone very, very white because Ellen Wong\’s scene stealing Knives was far more memorable than Winstead\’s Ramona. But Wong isn\’t white and is therefore limited for role selection.

Ehhh, none of these people will ever be as big as Roberts, Cruise, Washington, Smith, Hanks, and so on.

The decade of the movie star is truly dead. These girls might be somewhat popular, but they\’ll never be able to sell a movie based solely on their name (as evidenced by Morning Glory flopping, Love & Other Drugs flopping and so on).

You, have Natalie Portman on the main list, but you only have Anne Hathaway as an \”honorable mention\”. Please. Hathaway is hosting the Oscars. What more proof do you need that is the she is the toast of young Hollywood ? Plus, I knew her brilliant SNL hosting gig, two weeks ago, was going to raise her profile even higher. Seriously, Hathaway needs to do a one -woman show on Broadway , and do a film where she can portray a wide variety of characters. She is a wonderful mimic.

I don´t know I think Stone and Seyfried are way above some on this list, Mcadams is way more expensive than all of this actresses except maybe Portman and yeah who knows what kind of career Page will have, should be interesting.

Oh yea Mary Elizabeth Winstead is at a much lower level and would never win a role against this competition.

Blake Lively does not deserve to be in the company of these ladies.

Amanda Seyfried and Emma Stone are much more interesting.

Emma Roberts seems to always be \’on the verge of going supernova\’ but never does. Maybe someday?

But I am grateful you didn\’t include Dianna Agron.
