PTA is a better director than all the other nominees. How Luca G was not nominated as director for Call Me By Your Name is also insane and a testament to how little the people making these decisions know about filmmaking.

DD Lewis' performance was much better than G Oldman, who I love, but in this case was more make up and caricature than anything else, where as DD Lewis was a masterclass in subtlety and nuance rarely seen in cinema.

Shape of Water sucks, so it getting anything boggles the mind entirely.

Dunkirk deserved nothing.

S Ronan tough not to get best actress. F McDormand was her usual self, not bad but nothing Oscar worthy I would have thought.

The supporting actor and actress winners, fair enough. Some of the only decent choices on the night.
