Where is Dakota Fanning\’s fantastic performance in the Runaways. She was also snubbed at the Independent Spirit Awards. That was one of the most critically acclaimed performances last winter! Not to mention Michael Shannon as Kim Fowley.

I havent seen the Tourist but I have read the reviews and all I can think is WTF? Johnny Depp is talented and there is no doubt about that but come on there are more deserving people than him. Alice in Wonderland and The Tourist roles are not worthy of a nomination. I actually laughed when I saw the Tourist was in the best comedy/musical. I still can\’t stop thinking WTF are those people smoking. Put that shit down and yet again I say oh yeah its Hollywood silly me. Atleast there are people and films that are deserving who are nominated. If Johnny wins and if the Tourist wins I will die of laughter.

Get Him to the Greek, Easy A, and Scott Pilgrim were by far the best comedies of the year in my opinion.

I like the talented Emma Stone, but the standout performances in \”Easy A\” were given by : Stanley Tucci, the charming Penn Badgley, Amanda Bynes, Dan Byrd, and Mahaley Hessam. Their were many times while I was watching this movie , I felt Emma was trying too hard comedically.

Four Lions is easily the comedy of the year. If the HPFA had any guts (assuming they saw it), they would\’ve slipped it in as opposed to Alice in frickin\’ Wonderland. And hey, if they did get blown up mid-ceremony, imagine how good the ratings would be.

Add this to the list of snubs: John Powell\’s score for How to Train Your Dragon. Absolutely among the best of this year certainly, of any year, arguably.

Clint Mansell\’s score for Black Swan along with Mike Leigh\’s Another Year for direction, acting and writing being snubbed is a travesty.

The Tourist should have never been made, let alone nominated.

Overall very strong nominations, but some very silly ones thrown in the mix
