The image is one of those movie poster cyphers: the straights will see one thing( a man on a bed with Julianne Moore: sex? romance?) and the gays will see another. The image isn't technically a lie, but it does have the distinct and unsettling subtext that if you have a gay movie that isn't a comedy minstrel show, it's probably best if you keep the gay part hidden. Wouldn't want to scare anyone away.
