Tarkovsky only directed seven feature films, and three short films at the film school, Béla Tarr only nine features, and everyone is well aware of Malick's previously minimal output. I guess I just saying that I personally appreciate it more when a Director chooses to only put out a film when they're completely invested in the ideas and characters they're expressing.
