These girls are so typical. Just for that I won't be seeing the movie. This is a period piece with women who look like their job is to go down on you. Very Austen.

Confused. It was a movie, then there was a book deal, now it is a movie again? Which is going to come first, and is the book an expansion of Austen's short novel or a novelization of the movie?

Getting harder to keep track of this project. First it was a film – actually first it was a teleplay to be written by playwright Lucy Prebble but that project apparently got dropped – then it was a novel adaptation by Stillman – already a very good one done called "Lady Vernon and Her Daughter" plus another one that was written back in the '50s or '60s – now it is a movie again. I think the role calls for someone with a little more wicked sparkle than Sienna Miller – a Charlize Theron or Kate Winslet or even Sophia Myles.
