Give Outlander to the folks that did the Tudors (or a similar group). Scarpetta perhaps to the folks doing Dexter.

Cornwell waited too long to agree to a screen adaptation and it's just not an exciting concept anymore. Even the book series itself is running out of steam. They'd have to get a really good director to make it look interesting.
