Woodley was great in The Descendents, but Steinfeld gave one of the great young actor performances of all time, in my opinion, in True Grit. Even as great as Bridges, Damon, and Brolin were, she carried that movie. Plus in terms of age with regards to the character, Steinfeld is spot on, while Woodley could get away with playing an eighteen year old still, I think her playing a sixteen year old might be pushing it a little.

Shailene & Hailee have both proven their acting abilities in films. But personal choice I would go with Woodley. :
