Eh. For media organizations — at least the legitimate ones reporting on the leak — it\'s a tough situation. I was listening to NPR yesterday, and one of the commentators said the media law in this issue basically equates to "too bad, so sad." The stuff in those emails is unquestionably newsworthy. They\'re private emails about noteworthy films and famous actors. It\'s Journalism 101 newsworthy essentially. But it\'s also a little more complicated than it\'s portrayed. The New York Times didn\'t seek this story out. But after the blogs and the trade papers start writing about it, they\'re somewhat obligated to do the same. The story gets larger and larger and ultimately un-ignorable. It\'s a media ecosystemic process that starts with the grubbiest bottom-dwellers that turn it into a story for the larger, more ethical news organizations.
