Christ. Neither of those films, I want them to be good. Obviously I\’m on my own on this, but I thought Selma was diabolical. It was jaw-droppingly bland, for my money DuVernay couldn\’t direct traffic and certainly didn\’t show enough technical skill to direct a high spectacle blockbuster. Leave her to direct middlebrow, boring television.

Considering Ms. DuVernay\’s revisionist tendencies when it comes to history, it wouldn\’t be surprising if she made Captain America a villain that secretly held back Black Panther or Captain Marvel all along.
