Alain Resnais and his friend the late Chris Marker are/were both unabashed comic-book fans, they are said to have amazing personal collections and once (if I remember well) Resnais even was rumored to think about making a Flash Gordon movie.

I'm sure some people who work in Hollywood read this. Please, someone turn this book into a documentary. I'm ashamed to say I don't read books (the time commitment is too big and I'm a slow reader), but I would happily watch a documentary version of this. Make it as a two-hour movie or even a series that runs several episodes. I've read excerpts from Howe's book and it's a gold mine of new information and insight about Marvel Comics and their rise in Hollywood.
