The first song featured in the trailer is "Great DJ" by the Ting Tings. I really want to know what the last song is. I expected to hear Anamanaguchi since they are doing the video game but no such luck.

I think some people may be turned off by the silliness of the trailer, but the comic is SILLY and SERIOUS.

Most people can't have it both ways.

I am more than stoked and I think Mr. Wright will go above and beyond with the amazing source material.

I'm with Fatty Joe on this one. I have seen a post on this site for every bit of news concerning this movie, which I'll admit, I knew and still know nothing about. Now for whatever reason, you may love the source material (as many people did Watchmen) but that doesn't automatically mean it will make a great movie, as it did with Watchmen. I'm sorry but this trailer is ten times worse than Kick-Ass's, which before you actually saw the film, you were very skeptical about (and I still am). This looks retarded, and I can't see the appeal.

Saw this movie earlier today in NY, and honestly haven't been so impressed at the theater in a very very long time. Edgar Wright has been cleverly playing with genre conventions for years, but for the first time it feels like he's created something wonderfully original. And even Michael Cera's performance is good. This trailer doesn't really do the film very much justice, but it's going to be very popular regardless.

I'm kind of surprised you guys are reacting so positively to the trailer. You guys have been mostly positive towards Scott Pilgrim in general even when being overly negative towards tons of other movies that look better than this for seemingly no more reason than just to be funny and/or mean. Could this be the Playlist's first case of cronyism?

So far, the trailer is confirming all of my skepticism regarding the casting, art direction, visual effects, writing, directing, etc. My expectations remain low.

I have not read the books so the trailer is my first intro to the story. From that perspective, it looks and feels a lot like Kick Ass to me.

Massive fan of the books.

Saw the film last night in Hollywood.

The flick totally delivers. Most fun I've had in a theater in awhile. Edgar nailed it. Absolutely nailed it.

Kieran Culkin steals EVERY scene he's in.

And the music is phenomenal.
