It was a blast! I'm a fan of the original, but I really think this is the rare remake that successfully takes the general narrative of the first film and twists it into something different. It feels like its own animal and avoids stepping on the original's toes. I too left the theater thinking about what a great double feature it would make if paired up with Drive.

Really. But yeah this one looks kinda interesting, for the cinematography alone. As far as the POV schtick goes: why not. By the way chances are it won't be as viral as found-footage and thus will probably always be considered arty for some reason.
