she can sing… in her way, but this girl sings. it may not be a \”radio-music-friendly\” kind of voice, but she\’s an interesting singer (Tom Waits covers CD and \”Break Up\” duets with Pete Yorn) and an interesting actress (Ghost World, Lost In Translation, Match Point, Vicky Cristina Barcelona).

hope this movie will be great as Once was and that they choose Ruffalo (he\’s such a great (and underrated) actor!)

If they didn\’t think she could sing – she wouldn\’t have gotten the role. She\’s an excellent singer. Her Tom Waits cd was meant to sound the way it does. Go to youtube and listen to her sing these songs: Summertime and Clean. Girl can sing.
