Well, yes, easily, especially when you think of the dynamic way Raimi swooshed the virtual camera around a virtual New York after Spider-Man as he battled two other 50/60-year old villains with standard CGI in the first three movies anyway, then sure, I can imagine Sammy really going to town with 3D.

Oooh. Long sentence headache.

Anyway, I meant Sam Raimi could have immersed us in a fast moving, wondrous, 3D New York that would have impressed just as much as Cameron's space jungle.

And yeah, no way is this the main reason all involved decided to walk away and regroup, but it is always fun to speculate.
