I think that was the attitude that prevailed in the writers' rooms for both 'Bruno' and 'The Dictator'. Suffice to say, I am not thrilled about a possibly homophobic comedy that throws in a bunch of lazy lesbian stereotypes, some gratitous kissing scenes and then ends with a sanctimonious speech about the wrongs of homophobia, as if the filmmakers can say, "see, see, 'we' are not homophobic or sexist. We are just depicting it. There's a difference."
