The Coens admit there was no point, and that’s why they threw in that cat – to give the story some sense of drive.

The picture seemed ready to get going so many times, and then it just dissipated.

ILD was a bad movie with no point. It was pretty stylish – nice to look at. But, for a Coen Bros movie, it was terrible.
