A special shame on Jeff Bridges for failing to get out of Rooster Cogburn mode for it as well. Yes it could be argued that it was apt for his character but damn if it didn\’t sound like he\’s stuck in one-note mode. Anyway, moving away from that, I\’m still hesitant about this. It has high potential, but if it bombs then that doesn\’t leave me with hope that studios will gamble on any similar characters in the future – effectively putting the nail in the coffin of the likes of Lobo kicking ass on the big screen. On the other hand, at least it\’s a character Reynolds seems almost made to play – his run at Hal Jordan was just… wrong. On so many levels.
