I read the script today and it was great. Really solid writing with a very interesting and original (albeit weird) story. Can't wait to see the movie.

If Gosling can make this movie and make it half as interesting as it sounds, I think he could definitely make a solid director. It will be difficult, but at least it sounds like something different, which he at least deserves some credit for. Also this flick sounds as far from hipster as it can get just my opinion.

I guess he's imagining himself as (best case scenario) Tim Burton or (worst case scenario) Chris Columbus. The whole thing sounds a bit convoluted and not my cup of tea, but if he can pull it off, more power to him.

So sick of actors thinking they can direct. His acting is overrated and never interesting to me at all, so I highly doubt he has anything worthwhile to give as a director.

Dead Man's Bones soundtrack that exactly what I'm hoping for. This sounds like an awesome movie though, and Gosling doesn't disappoint.
