Showing the back of Young Hercules\’ head does nothing to sell the movie. Show his pretty face why don\’t you. It\’s the face of a burgeoning star.

The film is actually based around the James Sallis novela \”Drive\” whose main character is called Driver.. not sure if they meant to pull anything from \”The Driver\” as you\’re right, they haven\’t mentioned it — the book is a noir and they took that mood to the next step by eliminating a lot of the dialogue, so there are probably similarities to be found in tone and style, but I think you\’ll find this is a whole new animal.

I notice that no one has mentioned this film\’s many similarities to Walter Hill\’s terrific 1978 picture, THE DRIVER (both films have lead characters known only as \”Driver\”, who is a stoic man of few words, as well as basic plot and scene similarities).

Not that I am ripping on this picture. I am really looking forward to seeing it and I am sure that I am going to thoroughly enjoy it, but I do like giving credit where credit is due.
