All they did before the Captain Americas were sitcoms and mediocre comedies. Now doing these giant films is impressive in the Peter Jackson LOTRs sense, but Joss Whedon also did a couple himself and what’s he been up to since then? So far Marvel’s gamble of hiring unproven directors is paying off, minus Alan Taylor who after Thor Dark World and Terminator Genysis has been regulated back to TV. At least it’s doing better in this regard than the Star Wars franchise, but I still doubt these two guys. Also, what directing “brothers” other than the Coens have had continued success?
