There's talk of a fan boycott of Episode VII unless JJ Abrams is given enough time. They say, think of all the great Han Solo lines and scenes being cut.

yea, thats gonna be a pretty messed up week.
with the release of epsoide 7, batman vs. superman & Captain America 3.
id be seeing all 3 of course.
plus most likely star trek 3 & Pirates 5 might open that month also.

Traditionalist in me would prefer a Summer release, but I guess it'll be the first Hobbit free Christmas for 3 years and someone wants to fill that gap.

Rian Johnson is on for Episode 8 more because of the two year gaps they are insisting on between the releases. JJ couldn't finish Episode 7 and prep Episode 8 at the same time. I'm sure while 7 is editing, 8 will be well on its' way in preproduction.

Just give it time. It will be pushed to May 2016 as it should. No Star Wars film should come out at Christmas. The force is with JJ and Kathleen.
